Virtue for the Fortnight COMMITMENT – PŪMAU
Our next fortnight’s virtue is Commitment and below is an example of our Virtue from the New Testament:
Luke 11:9-10
“So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
SPECIAL CHARACTER:
Our first School/Parish Mass for the year is on Sunday 4th March, so please come along and share the Liturgy with us. Following mass the Parish is having a picnic in the school grounds and would love it if you could stay and join them. Details are as follows:
“The parish BBQ picnic will be held on Sunday 4th March after Mass in the school grounds. Please bring your own salads, refreshments and seating. Sausages, Meat Patties, plates etc supplied. EVERYONE VERY WELCOME.”
Readings for this Sunday’s Mass are as follows:
1st Reading: Genesis 9:8-15
2nd Reading: 1 Peter 3:18-22
Gospel: Mark 1:12-15
All children attended mass on Wednesday at 9am as it was Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. All classes will be learning more about Lent in Religious Education lessons this week. A reminder that First Reconciliation lessons begin this Wednesday, 29th February, 6.55-8.15pm at St Joseph’s Church Hall.
