RETREAT DAY:
Our Year 6 students joined with with Year 6’s from St John Bosco and St Joseph’s on Monday for our Annual Retreat Day.This is a lovely way for our senior children to get together with others that they will be going to Intermediate with. It’s also a day of celebration and thanksgiving for their six years at our Catholic Schools.
CYCLE TRAINING:
Rm 1’s second day of cycle training was postponed this week due to rain, but has been rescheduled to Thursday 15th December.
SCHOOL PICNIC:
We have our annual end of the year school picnic on Monday from 11am-2pm at Brooklands Park. We will leave school at 11am, after the children have had an early morning tea, and will walk to the park. We will leave to come home at approximately 2pm. We would love it if you could come and join us, we’ve got our fingers crossed for a fine day. If the weather is not suitable we will try again on Tuesday at the same time. The children will need their morning tea and lunch as usual and a drink, sunblock, school sunhat, suitable mufti clothing and sensible walking shoes. We would appreciate some parents to walk to and fro with us, please let your teacher know if you can help out in this way. Preschoolers very welcome.
GRADUATION MASS:
We have our Graduation Mass at 6.30pm on Wednesday night. All children are expected to be at this mass, which will be followed by prizegiving, an item by our Kapa Haka group and some carols. All children are to wear school uniform and to meet in their classrooms at 6.15pm. We anticipate it will be finished between 8-8.30pm. Thank you for your co-operation.

All children will receive their end of year reports on Thursday afternoon. The reports will not include your child’s classroom for 2012, but you will be able to find class lists displayed on class windows on Friday 27th January.
LAST DAY:
We have our last day of school for 2011 on Friday 16th December. School will finish at 12.05pm. We start again in 2012 on Monday 30th January at 8.55am.

END OF YEAR PRINCIPAL’S REPORT:
At our graduation mass there will be my annual Principal’s Report to the school community which will outline highlights of our 2011 school year.
