SPECIAL CHARACTER:
Our School/Parish mass last Sunday was a lovely celebration. Thank you to the families that joined us; there were 30% of our children in attendance. Thank you very much to Anne Dent for all her work in preparation for our masses throughout the year. It is a very big job and she does it superbly.

ATHLETICS DAY:
What a wonderful afternoon we had on Tuesday for our school athletics. The children participated with enthusiasm. This was our final House Event for the year and the winning house will be announced on Wednesday night...the children are waiting with anticipation! Thanks to Pat Swanson for his efficient organisation of this event.

ROAD PATROLLERS:
Our Year 5’s were trained on Wednesday afternoon to be our Road Patrollers for next year. We are sure they will do a great job of keeping us all safe, as the Year 6’s have done this year.

RETREAT DAY:
Our retreat day on Monday for the Year 6 leavers was a successful day. It was a great opportunity for the children to meet others they will be going to Intermediate with next year. Thank you very much to Pat Swanson for his preparation for this event, it was a lot of work. Thank you also to the parents who transported the children to Sacred Heart and to our children who participated so well.

SPECIAL CHARACTER:
We have our final School/Parish mass this Sunday 6th December at 11am at St Philomena’s. Please try and join us to celebrate mass together. We would love to see everyone there.

ATHLETICS DAY:
Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us on Tuesday so we had to postpone our Annual Athletics afternoon until this coming Tuesday 8th December. Same time: 1pm. We’d love to see you there.. Children may wear their House Colours for the day.

MOVEMBER:
Pat Swanson lost his moustache on Tuesday in front of all the children. He bravely let the children shave it off....they were very gentle! The donations he received for prostate cancer were much appreciated.

RETREAT DAY:
A reminder that this coming Monday, 7th December, Year 6 children have their retreat day at SHGC. We will be leaving school at 9.15am and returning at approx 3pm. The Year 6’s may wear mufti. Please ensure they bring along morning tea, drink bottle, hat and sunscreen. Lunch will be provided.

Please let Pat know if you are able to provide transport.

BOT MEETING:
Our final Board of Trustees meeting for the yearis this coming Monday night, 7th December, in the school staffroom.
